Rock Creek Sporting Clays

Rock Creek Sporting Clays

RCSP is one of the most active NSCA clubs in Texas, RCSP annually ranks among the top four clubs for registered targets thrown and in the top 20 in the US. The 20,000 square foot Lone Star pavilion serves RCSP shooters as a registration center, dining hall, and après’ shoot lounge with large screen TV and a bar.

Featuring Promatic traps, RCSP offers a 16 station sporting clays course laid out over 200 acres highlighted by timbered creek bottoms, elevation changes, and open prairie. Effectively using the varied terrain, presentations are frequently changed and will entertain and challenge both novice and advanced shooters. For 2008 Rock Creek has added a new all-weather road, two adjustable lift “towers”, and a 5-Stand layout. RCSP is open to the public on a reservation basis and carts are available.

RCSP, owned and operated by certified instructors Lonnie Mears and Tony Monzingo serves as a training center for shooters of all ages. Home club to six All-Americans, RCSP offers lessons and clinics for beginning, novice, and advanced competitors. Summertime sees RCSP and Beaumont Ranch Hosting Champs’ Camp, the premier youth shotgun camp in the US.

The Civil War Center of Texas

The Civil War Center of Texas

The Civil War Center of Texas organizes two Living History events each year at the Beaumont Ranch. The second full weekend in March we offer a full reenactment with battles both Saturday and Sunday, town life, and living history demonstrations. Town raids with battles during both days. The second full weekend in September offers a time to take classes and learn of this important time in our history. Saturday and Sunday we have classes and demonstrations for everyone in the family from seasoned re-enactors to those just getting interested in the hobby. Join for a day of living Texas history.

In September we offer classes in a wide variety of period subjects. Volunteers from our Civilian Living History organization visit schools and civic organizations to demonstrate what life was like during the American Civil War period and help to lead the audience on an exciting journey of discovery into what helped make the United States the great nation it is today.

Homes for Our Troops

Homes for Our Troops

We are Homes for Our Troops, a national non-profit, non-partisan 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2004. We are strongly committed to helping those who have selflessly given to our country and have returned home with serious disabilities and injuries since September 11, 2001. It is our duty and our honor to assist severely injured Servicemen and Servicewomen and their immediate families by raising donations of money, building materials and professional labor and to coordinate the process of building a home that provides maximum freedom of movement and the ability to live more independently.

The homes provided by Homes for Our Troops are given at NO COST to the Veterans we serve.

Antique Alley Texas

Antique Alley Texas

Antique Alley Texas spans the historic communities of Cleburne, Grandview and Maypearl via FM 4 (S) to FM 916. This show is unique because of the miles and miles of shows and sales organized by independent landowners, small businesses and individual entrepreneurs. You may stumble upon a beautiful ranch or quaint farm where the landowner is hosting an antique show with specialty dealers coming from all over the United States to sell their wares, or you may find a place where they've just cleaned out Grandpa's barn! There are fundraisers for local churches and schools, live entertainment and something fun for the entire family! Be sure to stop by the smaller historic downtowns of Grandview and Maypearl where the streets will be lined with vendors, musical entertainment and festival style foods. On the other end of the trail is Cleburne, the county seat of Johnson County. There you will find various sales scattered through out the community.
